I am a software engineer.
I graduated in the Fall 2015 class from Hackbright Academy.
I graduated from Northwestern University with a triple-major in Mathematical Methods in the Social Sciences, Economics, and Anthropology. In my professional career, I strove to challenge myself in roles where I could apply my quantitative and analytical skills. Prior to Hackbright, I was a financial analyst at Wells Capital Management. Now, I aspire to work in an innovative and evolving environment as a software engineer. When I can tear myself away from coding, I can be found jumping around San Francisco in my Kangoo Jumps.
Ever heard of the dating site OkCupid? OKC+ takes OkCupid to the next level with innovative analytics and tools. The OKC+ PostgreSQL database contains 58K profiles that were scraped from OkCupid.
Users can explore the most commonly used adjectives from these profiles on a Google map, and filter results by 22 genders, 12 orientations, and a 80+ year age range.
Alternatively, users can discover how different portions of people’s profiles cluster based on machine learning using a mean shift clustering algorithm, displayed with interactive D3 and Chart.js visuals.
Users can create an OkCupid account on the app, or login with their existing OkCupid credentials to access additional features, such as a messaging bot and a profile generator that uses Markov Chains.
